Today was another trying day with my phone. I ended up calling T-Mobile, and they gave me two choices. One was to get a new My Touch, and another was to get a Cliq XT. Well, the Cliq XT is in my opinion an inferior phone, and runs Android 1.5 where I have apps that requires 1.6. So, even if I was willing to take an inferior phone – I couldn’t.
I ended up speaking to a Supervisor, and I am pretty much given the same options which I personally find disgusting. Now, I may get a new phone Monday or Tuesday, but I have stay home, and wait on UPS again. Now, if this was just one or two times, I will not be so pissed. However, since November of 2009, this phone coming will be phone #5. Yes, that will be the original and 4 replacements.
I made a note of complaint and made sure that T-Mobile’s official Twitter department will see it, and it will seem as if they gave me a solution to one of the problems that were evident in all of the replacements, even though they had other problems. However, this is something that phone support should have told me.
So, “Will the Supervisor” will be calling me on Tuesday to see if I got the 5th phone, and if I am OK with it. However, I find this coming to the point of negligence, and if phone 5 does not work, I will be asking how many do I have to send back because they don’t work like a $450 phone should work before it’s your fault. Hopefully I won’t have to say something like that. However, I have lost total confidence in this phone, and will be replacing it when I finished wasting my money on the payments. The question will then be will I stay with T-Mobile, or not?
As for plans for tomorrow, I will be going to see my niece. I promised I will try to make it this week. I am also expecting a DVD from Netflix, but won’t be able to send it back until Monday. I will probably need to refresh my player before I leave too.
